Girl Scouts grateful for St. Mary’s Bank volunteer help

Credit union provided employees to improve camp twice this summer

Campers this summer benefited from the generous donation of time and muscle by St. Mary’s Bank employees at Camp Seawood to make the facility more welcoming to the children camping there.

Employees volunteered to spruce up the facilities at the Girl Scout camp twice in the past year. On July 16, the North Hampton branch manager helped paint new benches for the children to use. On Aug. 4, Brianna Perry, member experience manager, and four others from St. Mary’s Bank also painted.

“At St. Mary’s Bank,” said Perry, “we believe that building stronger communities starts with giving back, lifting others up, and investing in the leaders of tomorrow. It was a pleasure volunteering at Camp Seawood, and we are thankful for the opportunity to give back, lend a helping hand, and support those in our community.”

This past summer, Camp Seawood enabled43 children to gain confidence and make friends in the outdoors at day camp. We are Girl Scouts of the USA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building girls of courage, confidence, and character.

Girl Scouts discover who they are, tap into the power inside them, and build the confidence to let it shine. Through programs from coast to coast and overseas, girls of all backgrounds and abilities come as they are to explore their passions, meet new challenges, and develop hands-on skills. They find their strengths in science labs and on hiking trails, at cookie booths and in front of city councils. Backed by millions of alums and a network of dedicated adult volunteers and mentors, Girl Scouts drive change to make the world a better place. Along the way, they uncover the tools they need to lead with joy, on their own terms. Join us, volunteer, reconnect, or donate.
