The Green Monkey restaurant, which operated in downtown Portsmouth for the last decade, has closed for good.
Owner Deb Gootee-Weeks sold the restaurant, which served new American-style food.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported the Green Monkey and made it what it is the last 10 years," she said last week.
The new ownership includes a master chef, Gootee-Weeks said. The building on Tuesday was being renovated, and the new owners are expected to release more details about the space in the coming weeks.
Gootee-Weeks said she will take some time off.
"When I come back, I have some new ventures planned," she said.
