Guinta Discusses Opioid Epidemic on C-SPAN

Leadership special will also feature U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark, D-MA.

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Reps. Frank Guinta, R-NH, will host a Special Leadership Hour at 7 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, May 10, 2016, to highlight the stories of Granite Staters struggling with heroin and opioid addiction, as well as measures the House of Representatives will pass this week to improve their chances of recovery, according to a press statement.

This week, the House will vote on Rep. Guinta’s bill to research civil liability laws that prevent first responders, including friends and family of overdose victims, from administering emergency treatment. The House will also vote on his amendments to extend federal grants to New Hampshire treatment and recovery programs, including alternative drug recovery courts.
