It is not always easy to take the high road when someone hurts or upsets you. A natural reaction is to lash back. My choice is to come from a loving space, but often I find I need to allow myself to feel what I am really feeling – hurt, upset, disappointed, angry, resentful – and then I can feel more peaceful. However, just venting alone does not always do the trick. It’s a temporary fix.
