Incident Reported at the Springbrook Circle Condos: Report

UPDATE: Portsmouth Police say the situation has been cleared.

UPDATE, 7:26 p.m. on Feb. 20, 2017: Portsmouth Police reported on Facebook that the situation at Springbrook Circle "has been resolved safely and peacefully without injuries to anyone," according to the post. No other information is available.

"Thank you for your patience as we dealt with this incident! Stay safe. Stay vigilant. PPD is here for you," police stated.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Portsmouth Police took to Facebook earlier this afternoon asking resident to “stay away from Springbrook condos at the moment” due to an “ongoing police incident occurring.” The alert was posted at just before 3 p.m. on Feb. 20, 2017.

“All school buses have been notified to avoid the area and all schools have been notified,” the notice stated.

Unconfirmed reports have stated that a woman at the residence was making threats with a weapon. Seacoastonline.com has also posted that the incident was a threat with a gun reported to police at just before 2 p.m.

At 4:30 p.m., police updated the department’s Facebook site stating that the scene was still active. At 6:05 p.m., police warned that the situation was still active.
