Jumpin' Jay's in the Running for Travel Channel's 'Best Sandwich'

"Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America" premieres in June.

 is one of 30 contenders on a new Travel Channel series seeking to identify the best sandwich in the country.

"Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America" premieres with back-to-back episodes on June 6 at 9 p.m. on the Travel Channel. The show is the latest vehicle for the "Man v. Food" star,  to sample some of the food at Gilley's.

The Crab Grilled Cheese at Jumpin' Jay's is one of 30 sandwiches from 27 cities in 10 geographical regions across the U.S. selected as contenders in this ultimate sandwich competition, according to a Travel Channel press release.

Using his own BITE scale (B=Bread, I=Interior, T=Taste, E=Eating Experience), Richman will sample and judge the three most mouthwatering masterpieces a region has to offer, the press release says. After naming a regional favorite in 10 geographical locales, each winning sandwich moves to the finals, to face off against each other and two secret wildcards – earning a chance to compete in the ultimate national championship and the title of “Best Sandwich in America.”
