Leighton Begins Serving Mortgage Customers From Meredith Village Savings Bank's Rochester Office

ROCHESTER, NH — Bonnie Leighton, a mortgage loan officer, is now serving customers from the bank’s Rochester office after transferring from its Portsmouth office, according to the company.

Rochester office is at 21 Farmington Road.

Leighton lives in Dover and has personal and professional ties throughout Strafford County and the greater Seacoast region. Meredith Village Savings Bank said her new location positions her to support individuals and families through several stages of homeownership, including buying a first home, building, refinancing, and exploring financing options.

“Bonnie brings a thoughtful, knowledgeable and highly personalized approach to mortgage lending,” Lauren Young, vice president, residential mortgage sales officer, said. “Her experience across the full mortgage process, combined with her strong ties to Strafford County, make Rochester a wonderful place for her to continue helping customers achieve their homeownership goals.”

The bank said Leighton joined the company in 2021 and brought experience in underwriting, processing, originating, and closing mortgage loans. Her background allows her to guide customers from application to closing and help them understand available lending options. The bank also said she provides access to a range of loan programs for customers who are purchasing a first home, building, refinancing, or considering their next step.

Leighton’s community involvement includes being treasurer and president of Dover Little Green Cheerleading and currently serving as director of coaching for the organization, according to MVSB. The bank said she also coaches the Dover High School JV Cheer team and teaches homebuyer education and construction lending classes.

MVSB said Leighton is a member of the Seacoast Board of Realtors. The bank described her as a resource for homebuyers, homeowners and real estate professionals.
