Lloyd-Jones Speaks at Portsmouth Christian Academy at Dover Gala

Author speaks on Sept. 18; "Acorns to Oaks" is the theme of the gala.

Portsmouth Christian Academy has booked NY Times best-selling children’s book author, Sally Lloyd-Jones, to be the guest speaker at its annual fundraising gala on Sept. 18, 2015, at the University of New Hampshire’s historic Huddleston Hall, according to a press statement. The public is invited to attend this special evening of celebration and inspiration featuring PCA student ambassadors.

A beloved children’s author, Ms. Lloyd-Jones’ books include the Gold Book Award winning “The Jesus Storybook Bible” and Christian Book of the Year “Thoughts to Make Your Heart Sing.” According to Kelly Belmonte, Director of Advancement for the Academy, the theme, “Acorns to Oaks,” reflects the idea of starting small and seeing growth over time as they see with their students’ growth, as well as the growth stemming from the financial gifts they receive during their annual fundraising gala.

“Our vision for the fundraising gala included finding compelling, strong speakers who can clearly communicate the heart of PCA and the need for Christian education. Sally is just that and we can’t wait to share the evening with her and supporters of PCA,” said Belmonte. Tickets for the gala are on sale until Sept. 11 and can be purchased by visiting pcaschool.org/giving/acorns-to-oaks-gala/.
