Local Author Celebrates Life of Amelia Earhart

Michele Albion's new book is called "The Quotable Amelia Earhart." She will be at the Portsmouth Library next month.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - Local author Michele Albion will kick off a Local Author Series at the Portsmouth Public Library with a reading from her latest work, “The Quotable Amelia Earhart,” at 7 p.m. on March 7, 2016, Albion, according to a press statement.

With her book, Albion hopes to provide inspiration for a new generation. She is also the author of “The Florida Life of Thomas Edison,” “The Quotable Edison,” “The Quotable Henry Ford,” and “The Quotable Eleanor Roosevelt.” Following her reading, she will answer questions and sign copies of her books, available for purchase at the event thanks to the author and RiverRun Bookstore.

Interested readers can visit the library each month this spring for a talk by a local author.

On April 18, Katherine Towler will read from her new memoir, ”The Penny Poet of Portsmouth: A Memoir of Place, Solitude, and Friendship.” On May 18, the library will host Diana Durham, author of the novel “The Curve of the Land.”

The Portsmouth Public Library works to serve the informational, educational and entertainment needs of the community. The library offers free materials, computers, WiFi, classes, exhibits, online resources, events and more. PPL was established in 1881.
