Portsmouth ˗˗ Local affordable housing nonprofit is excited to announce newly appointed board member, Mrs. Berry McGeary to the Board of Directors. Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity (SENH Habitat) partnered alongside McGeary many times throughout her 11-year tenure as the manager of Springer’s Jewelers. This partnership helped to raise critical funding for construction materials for Habitat new construction projects in southern New Hampshire.

McGeary joins the Board of Directors at a pivotal moment of strategic planning and growth. She has graciously supported SENH Habitat’s annual fundraising events through in-kind donations and hosting events at Springer’s Jewelers beautiful location in downtown Portsmouth to help promote the work being done in the community. She recently joined the golf tournament committee and hit the ground running to help raise funds for the current Veteran family build located in Farmington.

“I am honored to join the SENH Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors,” shared McGeary. “As a resident of New Hampshire for most of my life, I am aware of the housing challenges facing families today, and I look forward to contributing to this great organization.” McGeary’s experience in business management and positive leadership is an invaluable asset for SENH Habitat. Her passion for helping others in need is inspiring and it’s her personal mission to help people realize their full potential. McGeary’s experience working within the Seacoast business industry will greatly benefit the organization’s affordable housing and volunteer programs.

Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that strengthen families and develop communities by partnering with corporations, like-minded community groups, faith-based organizations, and individual volunteers to build and renovate simple, decent, affordable homes with hard-working people who are in need.

In addition to our affordable housing program, where we are in the final stages of our Veteran family build, we are excited to announce our newest program offering of our Community Toolbox (CTB) Fix-it home repair program. This amazing opportunity is amplifying our impact by providing safe housing for more families than ever, right here in the Granite State. This latest program offering will allow for assistance to Veteran and senior homeowners with critical home repairs to allow for their safe aging in place. Something we have learned is so important.
