Man Indicted on Child Sexual Abuse Images, Drug Charges

Tyrone Jarest of Portsmouth was arrested last year after a month long investigation.

A local man arrested in August 2014 has been indicted on a number of charges, according the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Tyrone A. Jarest, 51, of Kent Street in Portsmouth, was arrested on Aug. 7, 2014, and charged with two counts of distribution of child sex abuse images, both felonies, possession of child sexual abuse images, a felony, and two counts of possession of controlled drugs.

According to the report, Jarest allegedly maintained a video collection of young boys involved in sex acts and shared at least two videos with an undercover detective. Police also allegedly found marijuana and mushrooms in his home.

Jarest has been barred from living in his home while the charges are active and has been ordered to stay away from children under 18, computers, and the Internet.
