Mass. Man Arrested for Stalking in Portsmouth: Log

Police: Teen charged with negligent driving for going 36 mph over the speed limit and Gonic woman charged with forgery, credit card fraud.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A 17-year-old was arrested at 1:48 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2016, for negligent driving and speed. He was arrested after a traffic stop for reportedly driving 36 mph over the speed limit on Hillside Drive near Greenleaf Avenue.

Peter J. Theriault, 36, of Evan Road in Peabody, MA, was arrested at 3:13 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2016, for stalking and default or breach of bail conditions. Police were sent to Borthwick Avenue for a report of a man in an ICU waiting room unit with an active protective order against him from his wife, who was in the hospital. Police reportedly found him asleep in one of the chairs and arrested him. He was then held without bail.

Michael Maher, 23, of Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, was at 10:17 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2016, for criminal trespass, three counts of domestic violence-simple assault, theft of lost or mislaid property, and possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. He was arrested on Middle Street after a domestic incident.

Amy Brown, 47, of Brunell Avenue in Sanford, ME, was arrested at 10:11 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2016, on a warrant out of Somersworth. She was arrested at I-95 northbound at the rotary.

Jamie W. Pointer, 30, of Ledgewood Drive in Portsmouth, was arrested at 10:43 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2016, on a warrant. Police were sent to the Dunkin’ Donuts on Woodbury near Weald Road for a report of customers being loud behind the store, throwing things over a fence.

Susan M. Regan, 60, of Dearborn Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2016, for reckless operation. She was arrested on I-95 North for allegedly driving more than 100 mph.

Melissa J. Varney, 36, of Hansonville Road in Gonic, was arrested at 5:34 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2016, for four counts of forgery, six counts of fraudulent use of credit card, and default or breach of bail conditions. She was arrested by state police.
