During the awful George W. Bush years it was common to see bumper stickers reading, “Dissent is patriotic.” That old liberal (back when Leftists could still fairly claim the label) Edward R. Murrow said, ”We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty.” He was absolutely right.
But somehow we all knew that the moment Democrats retook the White House a different attitude would obtain.
Did you notice how anti-war rallies practically disappeared when Barry O. moved into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave? The peace-loving Left is nothing but a movement of convenience: Corpses piled high from Republican wars deserve national uproar, prompting comparisons between the president and history’s worst dictators. (To be honest, it is a fair comparison.) Wars started by “really smart people,” on the other hand, are a sign of “our” strength and compassion, and betray only a “commitment to world peace” and “stability.”

Another change that immediately took place was that dissent became not patriotic, but racist.
President Obama’s hand barely left the Bible and his sycophants and lickspittles were hard at work, denouncing all of those who dared question the Dear Leader as closet Klansmen just waiting for that long-awaited moment when human bondage would be once more the law of the land.

Never mind that it is President Obama himself who has continuously and gratuitously fanned the flames of racial animosity by injecting himself into situations he knows nothing about, while staying strangely silent on others.
Mr. President, couldn’t this have been your grandmother?
It’s only become worse. For example, at a recent press conference CBS News correspondent Major Garrett asked the president about Americans held in Iran, and their status after the two countries’ long-needed detente. His exact words were – no kidding,
Can you tell the country, sir, why you are content, with all the fanfare around this deal, to leave the conscience of this nation, the strength of this nation, unaccounted for in relation to these four Americans?
Garrett even started the question by calling the president “sir.”
The nerve! Did you catch the subtle racism there?
If you did, you must be one of those conditioned Leftists who, like Pavlov’s salivating dog, hear the bell and reflexively come running.
All of this was too much for “liberal” icon Bill Maher, who responded to Garrett’s question by asking rhetorically, “Why not just scream the N word?”
Really Bill? Good boy!
Six-and-a-half years into this presidency charges of “racism” have become so passé that one wonders how the accusers – and their followers – can take themselves seriously anymore. In this environment, true racism wins.
