Mini pumpkin-chucking is highlight of Girl Scout Fall Fest

Join a space where girls are celebrated for being uniquely themselves. Come down and hang out at camp as girls and their families enjoy a special fall festival where they can make crafts, try archery, play games, and build mini pumpkin catapults! The event take place at the Camp Seawood, 350 Banfield Road, Portsmouth, on Sunday, Nov. 1, from noon to 4 p.m.

Participants will learn about the benefits of joining Girl Scouts, build a catapult, make a bird seedball feeder, try archery, play glowstick ring toss, sing songs around a campfire, and toast marshmallows for s’mores. There will be a team catapult challenge with awards in several categories. Light snacks including apple cider, doughnuts, and hot chocolate will be provided.

This event is a great way to ask questions and learn how Girl Scouts encourages the development of life skills, helps grow confidence, provides mental wellness help, and a great way for families to be involved in their child’s life.
