Miss Hampton Beach Addresses Mental Health In Portsmouth

Reigning Royalty Visits Seacoast Pathways, A Mental Health Recovery Center

Written By: Lauren Hoepp

Seacoast Pathways Clubhouse hosted a labor day barbecue picnic on September 3 in Portsmouth. We were honored to have Miss Hampton Beach (Kirstin Pesaresi) visit us and speak with members about mental health.
She was more than happy to hear members' thoughts about how living with a mental illness is being helped at Seacoast Pathways, and later she responded back to us saying, “we have a refreshing and welcoming environment.” Our clubhouse will be partnering with her during her year long reign, addressing the public on the issues of mental health, stigma and talking openly about mental illness. We are very honored and grateful to be working with her. Kirstin said, “ I heard wonderful comments from members saying that it gives them hope, motivation, and meaning.”

A member, Lauren, found out one of Kirstin's priorities is focusing on mental health, so she was contacted and was informed of what Seacoast Pathways is all about. Kirstin was so thrilled and honored to come. A member, Judy, thought it was really great to have Miss Hampton Beach take time out of her busy schedule to participate in sharing her views and experiences.

Seacoast Pathways is a free, non profit, non-clinical mental health recovery "clubhouse" in Portsmouth, NH. Anyone over the age of 18 with a mental health diagnosis and referral is eligible for membership. The website is www.seacoastpathways.org and the phone number is (603) 812-9031.
