National Foundation, Water Management Solutions Company Expands Into Mass., New Hampshire

HOOKSETT, NH — A national foundation and water management solutions company, has acquired a New Hampshire-based company with three locations in the region.

Based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Groundworks has purchased Rescon Basement Solutions of Hooksett, Portsmouth, and Burlington, Massachusetts. Rescon has offered basement waterproofing, foundation repair, and crawl space encapsulation in both states for around three decades. The company, according to Matt Malone, the founder and CEO of Groundworks, has “an in-depth understanding” of element and property conditions in the Northeast. Employees there, he said, will continue to serve customers under the Groundworks’ name.

“New England has almost seven million single-family homes with an average home age of 45 years,” Malone said. “For too long, this region has lacked a solutions company that has been modernized and capitalized to service the foundation and waterproofing challenges unique to New England. As we increase our footprint into New Hampshire and Massachusetts, we’re not just adding an office — we’re deepening our connection to homeowners with solutions that ensure the safety, stability, and longevity of their homes.”

Groundworks has shown “extraordinary growth” during the last nine years, acquiring dozens of companies to align top local brands into new markets in both the United States and Canada.
