New Business Opens in Yoken's Commons
Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank joins Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Rite Aid at the plaza.

Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank this week opened a branch at Yoken's Commons on Lafayette Road.
The plaza was the former home of Yoken's Restaurant, which operated from 1947 to 2004. The bank helped pay to restore the restaurant's famous whale sign, which will soon be back up.
In addition to the bank, a Five Guys Burgers and Fries and a Rite Aid are located at the plaza.
The bank earlier this month opened its first Portsmouth location downtown.
