New Businesses Spring Up In Portsmouth

Take a look at all the new places that will be opening up this summer in Portsmouth

Ah spring, you and your beautiful sunny afternoons, cool calming breezes and overall sense of newness is something we love about you. In Portsmouth there always seems to be a sense of newness though, because new businesses are springing up (we haven’t made a bad pun in a while, so that was long overdue) left and right! Below are a few examples of some new additions to Portsmouth’s thriving business world:

Profile Coffee Bar

Portwalk Place is a fast growing area, with new restaurants and businesses filling in the spaces seemingly every day! One of the additions to this area will be Profile Coffee Bar, which will be opening up this summer. Located next to the Hampton Inn, Profile Coffee Bar prides itself on being passionate about coffee, and their goal is bring you the best ristretto espresso the area can offer. So if you’re in the area check them out!

Louie’s

This restaurant just recently opened, and there are some high expectations for this new Italian eatery. James Woodhouse, the owner, said on thefoodieplace.com that he wants to bring a “rustic Italian menu” to Portsmouth as he plans on serving hearty Italian food to any who desire it. It definitely looks like a spot worth trying out!

250 Market

Although not entirely new, 250 Market is getting a fresh new look as they plan on expanding their already well known name. Located in the lobby of the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel, this restaurant is planning on putting up a bar, and we can’t wait to see what it’ll look like. As a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 250 Market is a great place to make your next dinner plans.

Sault

Beginning in South Boston, Sault has blossomed (another great spring pun!) into a high quality men’s clothing store. Its classic, yet trendy-styled products make this store a great place for men to bolster their wardrobe selection. Soon one will be opening in Market Square, right across from the iconic North Church, and we’re excited to see what it has to offer!

Bennett’s Store

Another business expanding over the border (this time from Maine to New Hampshire) is Bennett’s Store! Opening up on Congress St., this local sandwich shop is heralded for it’s tremendous lobster rolls and fresh ingredients. Award winning sandwiches? We’ll be planning to try this spot out soon after it opens.
