New Hampshire Woman Looks For Father’s 1937 Ford To Honor Him At Wedding

Chelsea Hermann of Madbury says finding the bright green coupe would help honor her late father at her October wedding.

MADBURY, NH — A Madbury woman is searching for her late father’s restored 1937 Ford coupe before her October wedding, hoping the car can help her honor him on a day when she will feel his absence most.

WCVB-TV reported that Chelsea Hermann said the bright green car with a silver stripe was her father’s final passion project and was last seen more than 20 years ago at his funeral.

“I don’t have my dad,” Hermann said. “But you know, what happens with the future, specifically at a wedding... all the traditions, the daddy-daughter dance... that became a question right away and something I dreaded for the longest time.”

She also said, “I just want to touch it… the last time we saw it was when we had a parade at my dad’s funeral.”

Bobby Garland Jr. of Garland's Garage said they think the vehicle is still in the area, while Bobby Garland Sr., who knew Hermann’s father, told the station the father would cruise with them.

Hermann said even if the car is not found, the effort has already brought back memories of her father.
