Obama's Legacy

Despite all the talk of the demise of Obama's legacy, his legacy is very much alive. It's just not what he and the Democrats want you to believe. The Obama legacy:

• The worst economic recovery since the 1940s (AP statistic )

• The lowest labor participation rate since the 1970s, with 95 million people out of the labor force. (BLSstatistic)

• 1 in 5 families with no one in the labor force. (BLS statistic)

• 301,000 manufacturing jobs lost under Obama.

• 11 million more people on food stamps than when Obama took office (USDA statistic )

• 43 million people now living in poverty (Census statistic)

• Lowest home ownership rate in 51 years. (Census statistic )

• Obama, who once said that a 9 trillion dollar debt is "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic" added 9.3 trillion in new debt.

• National debt is now 19.9 trillion dollars, more than all previous administrations combined.

• 2,988 new regulations under Obama have cost businesses almost 875 billion dollars.

• Employer health care costs have increased 43% as a result of Obamacare.

• Obama promised "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" and "if you like your plan, you can keep your plan" when advocating for Obamacare. Neither of those promises held true for a large number of ACA participants.

• Iran, the world's chief sponsor of terrorism and who continually advocates "death to America" was given 150 billion dollars and Obama agreed to allow Iran to continue spinning centrifuges in their quest to develop nuclear weapons.

• In Syria, Obama drew his now infamous red line in the sand and then did nothing when Assad crossed that line and used chemical weapons against his own citizens. The result – civil war and a massive world-wide humanitarian crisis.

• In Egypt, Obama gave Morsey, once head of the Muslim Brotherhood, F-16s, tanks and one and a half billion dollars.

• Obama helped oust Gaddafi in Libya which brought about total chaos in the country and allowed ISIS to become firmly entrenched there.

• Obama pulled all U.S. troops out of Iraq well before there was any semblance of stabilization in the country. This provided a vast, undefended territory which allowed ISIS to become established and grow.

So yes, despite all the ranting and raving from the left, Obama's legacy is very much intact. It amounts to eight years of abject failure on both the domestic and international fronts, a world-wide drop in the country's prestige and respect and the loss of more than 1000 elected positions for the party he represents.

He did, however, manage to score one resounding success. He paved the way for the election of Donald J. Trump who will, indeed, unwind many of the Obama failures and Make America Great Again.
