Pennsylvania Man Arrested on DWI Charges After Crash: Log

Police: Portsmouth women arrested on assault charges, Rye man charged with disorderly conduct, and Vermont woman faces driving charges.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Robert Cassel, 60, of North Whitehall Road in Norristown, PA, was arrested at 2:32 p.m. on Oct. 17, 2016, for aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated. Police were sent to Woodbury Avenue for a report of an accident without personal injury in the parking lot of Shaw’s Supermarket. After field sobriety tests, he was arrested.

Kendra M. Merrill, 32, of Middle Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 3:23 p.m. on Oct. 17, 2016, for simple assault. She was arrested on a warrant.

Brian S. Lane, 49, of Adams Park in Rye, was arrested at 7:54 p.m. on Oct. 17, 2016, for disorderly conduct. Police were sent to State Street for a reported of “two highly intoxicated males” coming into the restaurant. One allegedly tried to put his hand on an employee. They were moved outside but were reportedly still outside of the business. Lane was later arrested.

Aaron A. Smith, 28, of Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth, was arrested at 10:05 p.m. on Oct. 17, 2016, on a bench warrant. Police were sent to Woodbury Avenue for a caller reporting that a man was allegedly in her storage shed. She yelled at him and he ran off, according to the report. Officers later caught the man – Smith – and arrested him on a warrant.

Abigail L. Cook, 20, of Gosling Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. on Oct. 16, 2016, for criminal trespass and a bench warrant. She was arrested by Somersworth Police and transported to Dover to be handed off to Portsmouth Police. She was held at the Rockingham County Jail.

Kari Gauthier, 36, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 1 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2016, on a bench warrant for an alleged past tense assault. She reportedly complained of knew pain and EMTs were called to the police station to assist.

Sandra Goulette, 45, of St. Paul’s Street in Burlington, VT, was arrested at 9:39 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2016, for driving after revocation or suspension and disobeying an officer. Police were sent to a parking lot on Lafayette Road for a report of a woman “passed out at the wheel” of a Jeep that had its motor running. She woke up and reportedly told police she was very tired. Goulette was arrested on charges later.
