Police Charge Portsmouth Man with Drug Offenses

Suspect was found lying in the bike path between Rockingham Avenue and the Spaulding Turnpike.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Tuesday, June 7.

Tuesday:

  • At 7:45 a.m., police reported the theft of a hood off a used Dodge Neon sedan that was parked off the Spaulding Turnpike.
  • At 12:45 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive for conduct after an accident. Giuseppe Maini, 51, of 668 Middle St, Apt. 13 in Portsmouth was charged with that offense.
  • At 1:51 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was either sunning himself or passed out near the bike path on Rockingham Avenue and the Spaulding Turnpike. Todd C. Donlin, 36, no fixed address, Portsmouth, was charged with possession of controlled/narcotic drugs, falsifying physical evidence, and possession of controlled/narcotic drug labels. Donlin was also wanted for these offenses on a bench warrant.
