Portsmouth, Exeter Men Arrested On Drug Charges

Michael Anderson, Russell Anderson, and Jeffrey Coughlin were arrested today after an investigation by the police and the DEA.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Police arrested three men earlier today on drug charges after an investigation by the SIU, patrol division, and the DEA, according to police. Arrested on July 18, 2017, were Michael Anderson, 22, pictured left, of Leslie Drive in Portsmouth, on two charges of sale of a controlled drug and criminal liability-accomplice to sale of a controlled drug; Russell Anderson, 47, pictured center, of Leslie Drive in Portsmouth, was arrested for criminal liability-accomplice to sale of a controlled drug; and Jeffrey Coughlin, 31, pictured left, of Hayes Park in Exeter, was arrested for criminal liability-accomplice to sale of a controlled drug.

Michael Anderson was held on $10,000 cash bail while Russell Anderson was held on $3,000 cash bail. They will be arraigned on July 19.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation between the Portsmouth Police Department and DEA, according to Sgt. John Peracchi of the Portsmouth Police Department.
