Portsmouth Man Arrested On Threat, Assault, Imprisonment Charges: Cop Log

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Bricky A. Butler, 61, of Manor Drive in Portsmouth was arrested at 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2022, on domestic violence-simple assault, criminal threatening-domestic violence, and domestic violence-false imprisonment charges. A woman on Manor Drive called the police and accused a man was not allowing her to leave. Later, she was able to get away but was afraid to go back to the home to get her belongings. The man was arrested later.

James W. Shampney III, 32, of Tsienneto Road in Derry was arrested on a warrant at 7:27 p.m. on Nov. 12. Police were sent to Lafayette Road for a report of a man trespassing at a business. The man, police said later, had an active case for shoplifting, and was arrested.

Rhai Broadus, 59, of Adams Park in Rye was arrested at 4:26 p.m. on Nov. 12 on a theft charge. Broadus was arrested at police headquarters.

Kenneth Gene Cutting, 51, of Lafayette Road in Portsmouth was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant at 12:19 a.m. on Nov. 11 on Grafton Drive.

Nicholas J. Collins, 34, of Wilson Road in Portsmouth was arrested at 7:34 p.m. on Nov. 10 on a warrant as well as criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, obstructing a report of a crime or injury, and two simple assault charges. He was arrested on Lafayette Road.

Travis B. Cross, 40, of Abbey Lane in Dover was arrested at 10:40 a.m. on Nov. 10 on a theft of services charge. Police were sent to Pleasant Street for a report of a man being accused of not paying a cab fare. He was accused of getting back into the cab and then getting to an ATM to get money, but later was arrested.

Derrick Amadio, 52, of White Cedar Boulevard in Portsmouth was arrested at 4:27 p.m. on Oct. 27 on a domestic violence-simple assault charge. He has arrested at police headquarters.
