Portsmouth Man Arrested for Second-Degree Assault: Log

Police: Hampton man charged with theft and a Kentucky man was arrested on a warrant.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — David P. Blais, 45, of Court Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 3:32 p.m. on June 12, 2016, for domestic violence-second-degree assault and two counts of domestic violence-simple assault. Officers were sent to Court Street for a domestic with a woman alleging that her boyfriend assaulted her. EMTs were called to the scene and she was transported to the hospital. Officers went to speak with her at the ER and Blais was arrested.

Stephen E. Gonzalo, 50, of Ocean Boulevard in Hampton, was arrested at 6:13 p.m. on June 12, 2016, for theft. Hampton EMTs transported Gonzalo to Exeter Hospital for treatment and the hospital notified police that he was there. Portsmouth Police met with Exeter Police at the hospital and took custody of him.

Joshua Taylor, 20, of Wedgewood Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 2:38 p.m. on June 13, 2016, for default or breach of bail conditions. Police were sent to the address after receiving a report from DCYF that there was a man that was not supposed to be near a juvenile at the address. When they arrived, the man, Taylor, had reportedly left the scene. Officers search the area but didn’t find him. He reportedly turned himself in later.

Jamie Massa, 31, of State Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 9:04 p.m. on June 13, 2016, for receiving stolen property and speeding. Police were sent to Lafayette Road for a report of a theft. The victims in the case were still assessing what was lost from the business but provided police with a video and also a possible plate with a female driver. The vehicle was later found at Walmart and the woman was arrested on a bench warrant.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested at 8:13 a.m. on June 14, 2016, for criminal mischief after allegedly kicking a hole in a hallway wall on Middle Street.

Shawna Wollert, 47, of Holly Lane in Portsmouth, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. on June 15, 2016, on two counts of domestic violence-simple assault. Police were sent to the apartment after a man requested that a woman be removed after she allegedly ripped his shirt off. Wollert was later arrested.

Lloyd V. Saylor, 57, of West Highway 221 in Bledsoe, KY, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. on June 15, 2016, on a warrant. Kittery Police called Portsmouth to let them know that there was a reportedly intoxicated man walking on the bridge into Portsmouth. Officers made contact with him, he reportedly stated he was trying to visit his wife at the hospital but had no ID. Later, they were able to find out who he was and he had an active warrant and was arrested.
