Portsmouth Man Charged with Theft
Police: Richard Tidwell faces felony charges after stealing items from people he knew.

Portsmouth Police arrested a local man today after investigating theft incidents in March and June, according to a report.
Richard Tidwell, 51, of Gosling Road in Portsmouth, was arrested on Aug. 7, 2015, on two counts of felony theft and a misdemeanor theft charge.

According to Capt. Mike Schwartz, Tidwell allegedly knew the victims in the case and reportedly stole wooden doors, jewelry, and a printer. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Sept. 21.
