Man Charged with Criminal Threatening

The following arrest information was supplied by the Portsmouth Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Jan. 29.

Sunday:

  • At 6:48 a.m., police reported a lewd, indecent exposure complaint on Greenland Road and Dodge Avenue after the caller said they saw a man naked on the side of the road before he ducked into the bushes.
  • At 12:51 p.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road after the caller said someone stole his tool bag.
  • At 12:54 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on Lafayette Road who was wanted as a fugitive from justice. John E. Luce, 54, of 600 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth was wanted for disorderly conduct and criminal threatening (intimidation).
  • At 5:43 p.m., police reported a shoplifter in custody at a Lafayette Road business. Rye Police ended up serving the perpetrator a no trespass notice.
  • At 10:34 p.m., police reported a burglary on Hanover Street after the caller said someone stole his lap top, flat screen television and some video games.
  • At 11:53 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on State Street after the caller said they spotted some kids keying cars on Middle and State streets.
