PORTSMOUTH, NH — The city’s 400th birthday celebration has just received more support after a city business donated $10,000 to the event.

Brick + Barn Group at Compass Real Estate of Portsmouth is officially a “PNH400 Beacon-level sponsor,” according to organizers. The commitment to the event will be used toward operational and logistical planning in advance of the celebration’s June 3, 2023, parade and community dinner, scheduled for Aug. 15, 2023.

“We love the idea of associating our firm and its name — Compass — that suggests path-finding and the Beacon level of sponsorship for this significant milestone in our city’s history,” Scott Rome, the managing director and founding broker of the firm. “As a Beacon, we light a path not only with our financial support but also because of our agents’ knowledge of and passion for the physical spaces — the real estate — our commercial and residential clients occupy. The Compass mission is to bring the unique set of our experiences and backgrounds, leading-edge technology, and the highest standards of what we call a concierge level of service to our clients. Compass sponsorship helps empower the same level of excellence in the Portsmouth NH 400.”
