Portsmouth NH 400 Lands Bank Sponsor
The $50K donation by Bank of America NH to the 2023 celebration will help offset the costs of a parade, dinner, air show, and other events.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Bank of America NH has made what Portsmouth officials call a “significant commitment” financially to the city’s 400th anniversary next year.
The bank donated $50,000 to the event and will be its “Lightkeeper Sponsor.” The money will offset the costs of operational and logistical planning for the June 3, 2023, parade, Aug. 28, 2023, dinner, and Sept. 9, and Sept. 10, 2023, Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show.
“At Bank of America, we believe creating meaningful connections in the communities we serve is one of the most important investments we can make,” Ken Sheldon, the bank’s New Hampshire president, said. “We are proud to take a leadership role, partnering with the local leaders and organizations who are collaborating on the Portsmouth NH 400th Anniversary, as the values of PNH400 are a reflection of those Bank of America pursues in all 90 communities we serve: to advance racial equality and economic opportunity, to support diverse entrepreneurs, to help people succeed in today’s and tomorrow’s economy and to do our part to protect the planet through sustainable investments.”
