Police Arrest City Man and Return Him to Jail
The following arrest information was supplied by the Portsmouth Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Friday, July 8 through Saturday, July 9.
Friday:
- At 7:24 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on a warrant at a local residence. Michael F. Chase, 56, of 15 Wedgewood Road in Portsmouth was charged and transported back to the Strafford County Jail in Dover.
- At 10:09 p.m., police arrested a Strafford man for drunken driving on Market Street. John H. White, 71, of 736 1st Crown Point Road in Strafford was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated.

- At 1:03 a.m., police arrested a Hampton man on drug charges at Spinney Road and Sewall Road. Roy F. Leach IV, 49, of 9 Huntington in Hampton was charged with two counts of possession of controlled/narcotic drugs.
- At 1:50 a.m., police charged a Rye woman with liquor offenses on Marcy Street. Julia J. Barrett, 19, of 587 Central Ave. in Rye was charged with transportion of alcoholic beverages by a minor.
- At 7:46 p.m., police charged a Northwood woman with motor vehicle offenses on Market Street and Michael Succi Drive. Kristen L. Belliveau, 24, of 39 Elm St., Apt. 16, in Northwood was arrested for having a suspended registration and driving after revocation or suspension.
- At 11:15 p.m., police arrested a Dover man as a fugitive on High Street. Richard John Lapierre, 60, of 103 Broadway, Apt. 1, in Dover was arrested on a bench warrant.
- At 11:53 p.m., police arrested a Kensington woman following a motor vehicle stop on Middle Street and Court Street. Erica Leslie, 23, of 4 Cottage Road in Kensington was charged with criminal michief (vandalism).
