Portsmouth Police Log: Find My iPhone App Leads to Teen Theft Arrest
Plus, a woman is arrested for allegedly assaulting her ex after a breakup and another man is arrested for domestic violence.

Jennifer A. Mitchell, 31, of Pine Meadows Drive in Exeter, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. on Sept. 22, 2015, on a simple assault charge. The incident reportedly occurred on Blue Heron Drive involving an assault allegation after a breakup.

A 17-year-old was arrested at 8:54 p.m. on a receiving stolen property charge. Dover Police requested Portsmouth Police go to Sagamore Grove to check and see if an iPhone 6 from the high school was at the home since the Find my iPhone app was showing that it was. The teen was later arrested.

Brent T. Taylor, 49, of Middle Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 26, for domestic violence. Police were sent to the home for a report of a woman screaming “help me, you’re hurting me,” from the building. The caller reported that it had been going on for about 10 minutes. Responding officers, at first, couldn’t find the apartment where the screaming was coming from but later, found the couple, who both had cuts on their faces. The woman, however, had “marks on her neck” but refused to give a statement, according to the report. Taylor was later arrested.
