Portsmouth Police Log: Newsfield Woman Arrested with Loaded Needle
Plus, teens and a Maine man also arrested on drug charges.

A 17-year-old was arrested at 8:16 a.m. on Oct. 8, 2015, for two counts of possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. The arrest took place on Andrew Jarvis Drive. The teen was taken to the station and then back to school.

Jessica Hurlbert, 31, pictured, of Halls Mill Road in Newfields, was arrested at 11:27 a.m. on Oct. 8, for two counts of possession of controlled/narcotic drugs and two counts of unlawful dealing in prescription drugs. Police were sent to Parrott Avenue for a report from probation and parole that a subject might have drugs in their possession. When they arrived, they allegedly found a woman with “a loaded needle,” cottons, and prescription pills at the home. She was taken into custody and brought to the courthouse, according to the report.

Jessica Clapp, 18, of Errol Street in Sanford, ME, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on Oct. 8, for possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. Police were working on a consent search on Lafayette Road and took a woman into custody afterward.
Keith Collins, 44, of Center Road in Gray, ME, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 8, for possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. Officers were sent to Woodbury Avenue for an incident involving four men. Collins was arrested and then transported to the police station.

Jack S. Howarth, 19, of Sunset Road in Portsmouth, received a summons at 11:47 p.m. on Oct. 8, for unlawful possession of alcohol. Officers were sent to Lafayette Road for a report of intoxicated individuals in the parking lot near a red sports car. Howarth was later given a summons.
