Portsmouth Police Seek Identity of Alleged Tip Thief

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Investigators inside the Portsmouth Police Department are looking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole money from a tip jar at a local restaurant last week. According to a post on Facebook, at around 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 28, 2016, a man ordered food at Gilley’s PM Lunch on Fleet Street and after receiving his food, reportedly dip his hand into the establishment’s tip jar and took money.

The incident was caught on a security camera at the restaurant – see below – and now, police are asking for help IDing the perp.
