Read or listen to books to earn badges and beads. Read more to earn fancier beads and a variety of brag tags and build your own keychain or necklace throughout the summer! Visit Youth Services or contact the library to learn more!

Teen Summer Reading Program
6th - 12th grades Beanstack
Log reading minutes to earn badges and prizes. For every 15 minutes read earn a virtual badge and a prize! Read more for fancier prizes throughout the summer! Also earn a book for every 5 book reviews you write! Visit Youth Services or contact the library to learn more.

Early Literacy Program
Ages 0 - Kindergarten

A summer literacy program just for babies through preschool! Complete the challenge to earn patches for your PPL tote bag. The summer challenge begins June 17th! Pick up a copy at the library.

Adult Summer Reading Program
Ages 18+ Paper
For Portsmouth's 400th anniversary, we're celebrating #HotCeliaSummer in homage to local poet Celia Laighton Thaxter. No need to register! This year's log is a community bingo sheet. Simply start knocking things off by attending programs, community events and, of course, reading. Once you've completed one of the categories visit the circulation desk to collect your prize. It's really that simple! Stop by the library for a printed copy.
