Purse Snatcher Steals from Elderly Woman: Cops
UPDATE: After Portsmouth Police issue alert about incident at Walmart on April 18, the individuals have been ID'd.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - The Portsmouth Police Department is asking for the public's help with a purse snatching case from last night at the Walmart on Lafayette Road in Portsmouth.

According to police, at just after 6:30 p.m., officers were called to the store for a report of an elderly woman having her purse stolen from the store.
The victim alleged that a male suspect "grabbed her purse from her grocery cart" and then fled. The victim attempted to chase after the man but was not able to catch him, according to police. The man caught up with a woman before fleeing the parking lot in a black sedan with New Hampshire plates.

The Portsmouth Police Department was able to obtain store surveillance of the incident and is seeking the help of the public in identifying the male and the female depicted in the footage.
The man is white, about 26- or 27-years-old, with brown hair. He was wearing a black/dark colored hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The woman is white, in her late 20s, with long blonde/auburn hair. She was wearing a winter jacket and blue jeans.
