Rochester's Monarch School Of New England Gets $5,000 MVSB Sponsorship For 2026 Program
The Rochester school said the support will help expand nature-based learning for students with disabilities.

ROCHESTER, NH — Meredith Village Savings Bank is supporting the Monarch School of New England with a $5,000 sponsorship for the school's 2026 Horticultural Therapy Program in Rochester.
The nonprofit day school serves students ages 5 to 22 with developmental, medical, and intellectual disabilities.
The Horticultural Therapy Program provides students with opportunities to learn and develop skills in a nature-based setting. The school said students receive individualized instruction in academics, life skills, vocational training, and community-based programming, with integrated therapeutic services.

“Community partnerships like this one help ensure students have access to meaningful, hands-on experiences that support their growth and independence,” Jeanette Souther, the MSNE executive director, said. “Our Horticultural Therapy Program provides a calm, engaging environment where students can build important life skills through nature-based learning.”
The Monarch School of New England is located in Rochester and serves students from more than 30 school districts across New Hampshire and southern Maine, according to the announcement. The school is home to what the announcement describes as the only Horticultural Therapy Program in New Hampshire overseen by a registered horticultural therapist.

“I am proud to help strengthen MVSB’s partnership with MSNE and support a program that has such a lasting impact on students and families,” Nicolas Stockman, the MVSB Branch & Business Development Officer in Rochester, said. “The care, creativity, and dedication demonstrated every day at MSNE make it an incredible resource for our community.”
MVSB said it has served people, businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities for more than 150 years. The bank describes itself as a mutual savings bank that operates for the benefit of its customers, employees, and community.
