Rye Man Arrested for Smashing Window, Stealing Car: Log
Portsmouth Police: Women fighting on Christmas Eve arrested for assault.

Christopher Rice, 25, of Rod Road in Rochester, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2015, for driving after revocation of suspension. He was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on the northbound side of the Spaulding Turnpike near Arthur Brady Drive.

Riley Sullivan, 21, of Ocean Boulevard in Rye, was arrested at 1:16 a.m. on Dec. 22, 2015, for unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle, criminal mischief (vandalism), and operating without a valid license. Officers were sent to Elwyn Avenue for a man who had just smashed a window. While en route, dispatch reported that the phone line went dead. Later, officers learned that Sullivan had allegedly stolen the man’s car. He was found and stopped at Middle and Swett and arrested.

Robert Varney, 33 of Weald Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 6:09 a.m. on Dec. 22, 2015, on a bench warrant. Police went to Weald Road for a possible wanted subject at the address. Varney was later arrested.
Benjamin C. Durgin, 46, of no fixed address, was arrested at 4:52 a.m. on Dec. 23, 2015, for theft by deception and a bench warrant. Somersworth Police arrested Durgin on a Portsmouth warrant. He also had an active warrant out of Rochester District Court, according to the report.

Melony A. Colon, 23, of Winsor Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. on Dec. 25, 2015, for simple assault. Also arrested was Evelyn C. Pagan, 32, of Wedgewood Road in Portsmouth, also on a simple assault charge. A caller reported that there was yelling and screaming outside of a home on Weald Road. She also heard a baby screaming, according to the caller, and someone yelling, “(Expletive deleted) you need to calm down.” A second 911 call came in reporting that a man stated that he was going to “smack” (a derogatory term for a woman). When officers arrived, they got the situation under control and arrested two people.
Kassandra N. Cullen, 20, of Beauty Hill Road in Barrington, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. on Dec. 26, 2015, on a bench warrant. Officers were sent to Livermore Street for a report of a people sleeping in a car. The officers checked on them and found that the woman had an electronic bench warrant. The man had a suspended license and reportedly stated that he would figure out what to do with the vehicle. The man later bailed out the woman.
