New Rules About Toys R Us Closing Sales
Coupons will be no longer be accepted. Gift cards will be honored through April 21.

WAYNE, NJ — Toys R Us and Babies R Us began their liquidation sales last week and announced new rules about gift cards, online orders, returns and coupons.
Here are the details:
- The liquidation sales end in June, but stores could close earlier if merchandise sells out before then.
Webstore

- The webstore will be open for a limited time. Orders placed before Friday will be delivered.
Gift cards
- Gift cards, including e-gift cards, will continue to be honored through and including April 21.
- Gift cards from Canada will no longer be accepted in the U.S.
- Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
Coupons

- Coupons are not being accepted in stores or online at toysrus.com. This includes Geoffrey Birthday Club coupons.
- Coupons cannot be redeemed for cash.
Returns
- Purchases made during store closing sales, including those store closings that have been in process at certain stores for the last few months and those that began Friday, are final. Returns will not be accepted.
Layaway
- Customers with items on layaway were notified of the liquidation sales. Customers have 21 days from the time they were notified to either pay the remaining balance due and get their product, demand a refund, or forfeit the product.
- If customers don’t take any action, the liquidators will have the right to sell the product as part of the liquidation after the 21-day notice period.
Babies R Us Registries
- New registrations will not be accepted. Existing registrants can continue while the web store remains open.
Loyalty rewards
- New rewards points will appear on your account, but they cannot be redeemed. Endless Earnings e-gift cards for the baby registry will be accepted through April 21.
