Seacoast Pathways, a mental health recovery "clubhouse" for adults with mental illness in the seacoast, is offering its members a chance to speak for themselves. "Seacoast Pathways Clubhouse Live" is a podcast produced by members who are in recovery and staff who assist. "It's a great vehicle for people with mental illness to tell the world about their views and it also smashes stigmatic thinking," said Joe Hill, staff member who works with member Gina and others in creating podcasts. "I have people asking me, 'you mean the members with mental illness are producing the shows?'"

Each podcast runs between 12 and 20 minutes and covers a wide variety of topics including wellness, employment, characteristics and events of the clubhouse, advocacy and politics concerning the state of New Hampshire's efforts to better serve the state in the area of mental health.

Podcast anchor, Gina, recently interviewed former New Hampshire state supreme court justice John Broderick about his advocacy efforts that take him to schools and other organizations all over the state, educating audiences about 'the 5 signs of mental illness." New Hampshire State Senator, Tom Sherman, was Gina's next guest and the topic was the status of the New Hampshire State 10 Year Mental Health Plan." He also urged anyone with a mental health diagnosis to attend Seacoast Pathways, located at 155 Brewery Lane in Portsmouth.
