Senior Walk with a Cop Held in Portsmouth Next Week
Officers were speak with seniors about problems, issues in the community, and events.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - The Portsmouth Police Department will be hosting its inaugural event Senior Walk With A Cop at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
According to a press statement from acting-Deputy Chief Frank Warchol, members of the Portsmouth Police Department will be meeting with seniors at the South Mill Parking Lot located across the street from headquarters.
Police officers and seniors will be walking a 1.5 mile loop discussing problems, issues, and events with one another, he noted.

"Getting to know our seniors and having the seniors getting to know who their officers are is an integral part of the department’s ongoing community policing initiatives," Warchol said.
Anyone interested in attending is welcome, he said.
