Stratham Man Arrested for DWI: LOG

Portsmouth Police: Teens put in protective custody, Portsmouth man arrested on drug charge, and Exeter man charged with vandalism.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - John Ireland, 34, of Pine Street in Exeter, was arrested at 10:56 a.m. on Dec. 9, 2015, for criminal mischief. He was arrested on a warrant.

A 17-year-old was taken in to protective custody at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2015, after an incident on Woodbury Avenue. The juvenile was charged with willful concealment after loss prevention turned the girl over to police. She was then turned over to her mother.

William Harris, 54, of Legewood Drive in Portsmouth, was arrested at 10:51 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2015, for possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. A vehicle was pulled over on Boyd Road and the driver reportedly agreed to a consent search. Harris was arrested later.

Two 17-year-olds were taken in to protective custody at 12:42 a.m. on Dec. 11, 2015. Police were called after a tipster reported seeing a group of males walking near the North Cemetery and they found it odd. The tipster followed the group around the city until police arrived near the Memorial Bridge and spoke to them. Two were taken in to protective custody.

Vance A. Tarantino, 24, of Perth Road in Stratham, was arrested at 1:38 a.m. on Dec. 11, 2015, for driving while intoxicated. An officer was sent to the area of Islington and Bartlett streets for a report of a crash. The two vehicles pulled into a CVS parking lot. At least one of the parties became “pretty emotional” at the scene. The caller reported an airbag deployed and spider web windshield cracks. One person was transported to the hospital and blood was taken. Tarantino was later arrested.
