Suspicious Package Sent to Rep. Porter’s Office: Report
Breaking: Local and federal police are investigating a package sent to Carol Shea-Porter's Dover office today.

DOVER, NH — Federal and local police were called to the officer of U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, D-NH, earlier today for a suspicious package, according to WMTW-TV in Maine. The office is located on Central Avenue in Dover. No one was sick or ill from the package, according to the report.
The station reported that police are not confirming what the package was or what was in it but have confirmed that official procedures were followed.
In a statement this evening, Shea-Porter stated she was "grateful for the quick response" of police.

“This afternoon, my New Hampshire office received an envelope with an unidentified brown substance inside," she said. "My office followed House procedure and notified the appropriate law enforcement agencies, and we are waiting for the results of some testing."
