Trio Cleonice Performs Aug. 23
2015 Historic Portsmouth Chamber Music kicks off with violin, cello and piano trio.

The 2015 Historic Portsmouth Chamber Music series kicks off on Aug. 23, with the award-winning Trio Cleonice.
The trio comprised of violin, cello and piano will perform at 3 p.m. at New Castle Congregational Church as part of Historic Portsmouth Chamber Music. This concert is the first of four concerts in the 2015 series, which is produced by the Portsmouth Athenaeum. A $20 at-the-door donation is suggested.
Trio Cleonice—violinist Ari Isaacman-Beck, cellist Gwen Krosnick and pianist Emely Phelps—will perform Franz Joseph Haydn’s bright and energetic Piano Trio in C Major, Elliot Carter’s final composition (in its “almost certain” New Hampshire premiere), his 2012 Epigrams for violin, cello and piano, a set of twelve miniatures performed in a total of 13 minutes!...and finally Robert Schumann at his most warm-hearted, in his ebullient, romantic and joyful Piano Trio No. 2 in F Major, Op.80.
