Tucker Blasts Obama on Keystone XL Pipeline

Possible Congressional candidate: President put politics ahead of creating thousands of new jobs for Americans who desperately need them.

Possible Republican First Congressional District candidate state Rep. Pam Tucker, R-Greenland, is criticizing President Barack Obama’s rejection of TransCanada’s application to build the Keystone XL Pipeline today saying that she was disappointed in the decision.

Tucker said the president ”decided to put politics ahead of creating thousands of new jobs for Americans who desperately need them.”

Tucker added, “The Keystone XL proposal included state-of-the-art manufacturing and technology techniques to ensure it would be the safest pipeline ever constructed. President Obama and his supporters in Congress decided to oppose North American energy independence. Opposing the pipeline prohibits the creation of new, good-paying jobs at a time when our economy continues to struggle showing how disconnected Washington, D.C. has become from reality.”
