U.S. Marshals, Police Make Drug Arrest

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, May 24 through Sunday, May 28.

Thursday:

  • At 9:20 a.m., police reported the theft of cash on Broad Street.
  • At 4:33 p.m., police reported a simple assault on Dunlin Way after the caller said he was punched in the face by a male subject who told him to slow down before he got ahead of his car and punched the victim.
  • At 5:01 p.m., police arrested an Exeter man for motor vehicle offenses on Pleasant Street. Joshua Labbe, 21, of 50 Brookside Drive in Exeter was charged with criminal mischief (vandalism).

  • At 12:01 p.m., police arrested a Maine man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Mark Anthony Thorne, 33, of 16 Partridge Lane in West Baldwin, Maine was charged on a bench warrant, sell on sale property.
  • At 12:20 p.m., police reported that someone found a gold ring with a diamond in the parking lot of Gilley's Diner on Fleet Street.
  • At 1:21 p.m., police reported the theft of a .357 Ruger revolver on New Hampshire Avenue.

Saturday:

  • At 9:02 a.m., police assisted U.S. Marshals Service with the arrest of a Massachusetts man on drug charges on Woodbury Avenue. Michael A. Napier, 31, of 10 Patricia Drive in Tyngsborough, Mass., was arrested as part of a drug investigation.
  • At 3:35 p.m., police arrested a Maine man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Deer Street. Corey Jon Hoffses, 49, of 5 Main St. in Kittery, Maine, was wanted on a bench warrant.
  • At 8:31 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman following a domestic incident on Leslie Drive. Kelly Palmer, 21, of 258 Leslie Drive in Portsmouth was charged with criminal mischief (vandalism) and simple assault.

  • At 5:20 p.m., police reported shoplifting after the caller said someone stole some DVDs from a Lafayette Road store.
