Warrant Issued for Alleged Heroin Dealer
Portsmouth Police are looking for Amanda Burgess. Have you seen her?

Police are looking for a woman who may be involved in dealing heroin in the Portsmouth area, according to a police alert.
A warrant was issued earlier today for Amanda Burgess, 25, address unknown, on one felony count of sale of a narcotic (heroin).

“Burgess is currently at large and believed to be somewhere in the Seacoast area,” according to Capt. Mike Schwartz of the Portsmouth Police Department. “The warrant is the result of a cooperative effort between the Portsmouth Police Department, the staff at the Portsmouth Housing Authority and the residents of the Gosling Meadows neighborhood.”
Police and EMTs were recently called to that area of the city for the overdose death of Joseph Cahill.

Burgess is described as 5-feet, 3-inches tall weighing about 100 lbs. with blonde hair and green eyes. She does not have a local address, according to the report that was issued on June 22, 2015.
