Weather
Expect a mixed weather week this week. The start of it, Monday, looks pretty good, with sunny skies and highs in the mid-50s. Expect similar weather on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, during the day. On Tuesday night though, showers are expected, with highs in the mid-40s. The rain could continue into Wednesday in the morning and then clearing up, with a high in the mid-60s.

Monday
- The Rudman Center Conversations with the Candidates continues at the Rudman Center at UNH School of Law, 2 White St. in Concord at 9 a.m. with 2nd Congressional District candidate, state Rep. Marilinda Garcia. The talk will also be broadcast live on NHPR.
- The Bedford Public Library, 3 Meetinghouse Road in Bedford, hosts a talk with Amherst School Psychologist, Lisa Femia-Hou, discussing helping parents help their children cope with social anxiety and school related stress at 6:30 p.m.
- The Concord Public Library, 45 Green St. in Concord, offers its monthly short and sweet discussion group at 7 p.m.

- Greater Bedford Womenade hosts an open house at Just Naturals and Co., 176 South River Road in Bedford, at 6:30 p.m.
- The River Card Room, 185 Elm St. in Milford, holds bingo night at 6:45 p.m.
- Boston Globe sportswriter Bob Ryan will talk about his new book, “Scribe,” at 7 p.m. at Gibson’s Bookstore, 45 South Main St. in Concord.
Wednesday
- The Rudman Center Conversations with the Candidates continues at the Rudman Center at UNH School of Law, 2 White St. in Concord at 9 a.m. with 2nd Congressional District candidate, U.S. Rep. Ann McLane Kuster. The talk will also be broadcast live on NHPR.
- The WineNot Boutique, 170 Main St. in Nashua, offers visitors a wine and cheese tasting social at 5 p.m.
- Superman or Clark Kent: What kind of bystander are you?, will be the topic discussed at the Portsmouth Brewery’s Jimmy LaPanza Lounge, 56 Market St. in Portsmouth, at 5 p.m.
- The Wadleigh Memorial Library, 49 Nashua St. in Milford, continues its Making Sense of the American Civil War series at 6:30 p.m.
- The free Walker Lecture Series continues at the Concord City Auditorium on Prince Street in Concord, with a presentation of “Hail to the Chief, at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday
- Trick-or-treating occurs in Penacook, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
- The LaBelle Winery & Event Center, 345 Route 101 in Amherst, hosts a fundraiser for the Front Door Agency with “Gangsters of Love,” a murder mystery comedy at 6 p.m. Tickets $65.
- The Concord Public Library, 45 Green St. in Concord, holds a Halloween nighttime family story time at 6 p.m. Wear a costume if you like.
- The Manchester Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol will be hosting an open house at 6:30 p.m. at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 64 Harvey Road in Londonderry.
- Ellen Stimson, the author of “Good Grief: Life in a Tiny Vermont Village,” will talk about her new book at 7 p.m. at Gibson’s Bookstore, 45 South Main St. in Concord.
