WEEKEND POLICE LOG: July 22-24
The following arrest information was supplied by the Portsmouth Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday:
- At 6:59 a.m., police received a report of a dog in a car on Borthwick Avenue. The dog was taken out of the car by a nurse at Portsmouth Regional Hospital and taken to the emergency room.
- At 8:13 a.m., police arrested Zachary Bunker, 28, of 17 Orchard Hill Road, Epping on a charge of simple assault.
- At 10:58 a.m., police received a report of a dog in a hot car at Daniel and Bow streets. Responding officers found no gray car.
- At 12:42 p.m., a caller reported a dog in a blue Honda CRV on Rockland Street. Police took a report and talked to the dog's owner.
- At 1:04 p.m., a caller reported a dog in a dark gray SUV. Police couldn't find the car.
- At 1:19 p.m., police took a call from someone reporting a dog in a Toyota Camry. Again, no dog was found.
- At 5:59 p.m., Kelly A. Mikulis, 39, of 110 Ledgewood Drive, Apartment #7, Portsmouth, was arrested on a bench warrant.
- At 11:36 p.m., David Freeman, 45, of 6502 100th Ave., Lanham, MD, was arrested on charges of criminal threatening (use of a deadly weapon), 2 counts of simple assault, and criminal mischief (vandalism) after he allegedly pulled a knife on another man and then fled into the woods to escape police.
Saturday:
- At 12:52 a.m., Ary Silva, 26, of 5 Freedom Circle, Apartment #17, Portsmouth, was charged with reckless operation and disobeying an officer after he allegedly crashed his vehicle while driving at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour on Lafayette Road southbound.
- At 7:21 a.m., police received a call from someone reporting a small dog in a blut truck on Woodbury Avenue. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
- At 10:21 a.m., a caller reported a dog in a Toyota Camry on Durgin Lane. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- At 12:18 p.m., a caller reported two dogs in a gray Subaru on Woodbury Avenue for over a half an hour. Police said the owner had been inside a restroom, because she wasn't feeling well, and that she promised to give the dogs water.
- At 12:59 p.m., a hit and run accident was reported in a parking lot on Lafayette Road.
- At 1:36 p.m., a 2-car accident with no personal injury was reported on Lafayette Road.
- At 3:12 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on the Route 1 Bypass. The caller was suffering from a neck injury.
- At 6:37 p.m., someone on Market Street reported a theft of jewelry worth about $500.
- At 8:19 p.m., police arrested Jordan L. Wilkins, 21, of 32 Pickering St., Portsmouth, for simple assault and disorderly conduct.
- At 8:42 p.m., police received a report that two people were on the pier at Prescott Park, shouting and being disorderly. The stage manager asked them to leave, as there was a play going on, but they refused. They were warned by police that they were being disorderly, and moved along.
- At 10:33 p.m., a caller reported dogs barking at an Albany Street business. The caller was concerned for the dogs' welfare, as there is no air conditioning in the building. Police checked it out and determined the dogs were fine.
- At 11:18 p.m., police received a call about a dog in a car on Bridge Street.
