Who Gave the Most Presidential Campaign Cash on the Seacoast?
Out of the $1.2M+ donated to candidates from NH this cycle, hundreds of thousands of dollars came from the eastern part of the state.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - Cash is the lifeblood of campaigns, including the race for the White House, and during the 2016 presidential cycle, New Hampshire residents donated more than $1.2 million to the candidates.
Republicans and Democrats received nearly the same amount of money. GOP candidates received more than $635,000 while Dems received $624,000.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received the most money out of New Hampshire: $290,911, according to FEC filings, while rival U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders received nearly as much: $289,928.

On the Republican side, Dr. Ben Carson received the most money from Granite Staters: $89,637. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-TX, and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-FL, received nearly as much money, $89,313, and $88,634, respectively. Former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-FL, received nearly $83,000. More than $67,000 was donated to Gov. John Kasich, R-OH, while Carly Fiorina received more than $61,000. U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-KY, received more than $51,000.
On the Seacoast, Democrats received nearly $170,000 in donations while Republicans received nearly $205,000 in donations.

Carson received 282 donations including a $2,700 donation from Jonathan Bobbett of MatMarket. Bobbett also donated $2,700 to Gov. Chris Christie, R-NJ.
Cruz received 277 donations including a $2,000 from William Smith of Juniper Networks.
Rubio had 121 donations including a $2,700 donation from Jason Clark of the Baupost Group and a $2,500 donation from Thomas Farrelly of Cushman & Wakefield.
Fiorina received 104 donations including a $2,697 donation from John MacLeod of Portsmouth Christian Academy.
Bush received 42 donations from the area including six $2,700 donations from Albert Graf, a retiree, Eric Katz, a self-employed real estate developer, Marla Katz, a homemaker, Shirley Homer, a homemaker, Chester Homer of Ocean National Bank, and Sean Mahoney of White Birch Partners.
Kasich received 29 donations including three $2,700 from John Sununu of Time Warner Cable, Patrick Walsh of PCFSI, and Karen Walsh, a retiree.
Paul received 58 donations including $1,500 from Philip Nazzaro of Teach for America.
Gov. Scott Walker, R-WI, received 14 donations including a $2,700 donation from Phyllis Woods.
Businessman Donald Trump 11 donations from the area including $2,000 from Lou Gargiulo from Great North Property Management.
U.S. Lindsey Graham, R-SC, received three donations, including $2,700 from Paul Young of Novus Public.
Former Gov. George Pataki also received five donations from the area including Sandra Montrone who gave the campaign $2,700. New Hampshire for Scott Brown PAC also made a $1,000 donation to his effort.
For the Democrats, Sanders raised slightly more money than Clinton did. More than 1,000 people donated money to the campaign including a $2,500 donation from Elizabeth Nordgren.
Clinton received more than 370 donations including nine maximum donations from Barbara Carpenter of the New Hampshire Juvenile Parole Board, attorney John Coon and Helen Coon, Susan Weigold Demers of Garrison City Broadcasting, Hiram Connell, a retiree, Donna Seigel, a homemaker, Fred Seigel of Beacon Capital Partners, Norman Cloutier, a retiree, Pamela Hall of Normandian Associates, and Robert Demers of Mid-Way Buick GMC.
Harvard Professor Larry Lessig, a Democrat, also received a $1,000 donation from Peter Vandermark.
