Portsmouth Police: Kensington woman allegedly violates a restraining order; teen arrested on domestic violence charges.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Jason Mattia, 29, of Harmony Lane in Gilmanton, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. on April 30, 2016, for driving while intoxicated. He was stopped while driving on the Spaulding Turnpike near Arthur Brady Drive. After field sobriety tests, he was arrested.

Taylor Matthews, 22, of Thurrell Road in South Berwick, ME, was arrested at 4:02 a.m. on May 1, 2016, for driving while intoxicated. Officers were sent to Deer Street and Maplewood Avenue for a woman in a car passed out behind the wheel. “The light has changed a few times,” according to a caller. The caller also stated that they knocked on the window but the woman didn’t wake up. Police showed up and after a field sobriety test, Matthews was arrested. She was later transported to the Newington Police Department so officers could use that department’s intoxilyzer, according to a report.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at 9:42 p.m. on May 1, 2016, on two counts of domestic violence. Police were sent to Elwyn Avenue for a girl reportedly that a family member was “being violent,” according to a report. Another relative also requested police assistance. The boy was arrested later by the tennis courts, according to police, and was involuntarily admitted.
